Can we reserve group lessons in English with you ?
Not really: you can only choose your instructor for private lessons. Of course, you can take one teacher for a whole family, a group of friends, ...

I don’t stay in Val Thorens, can I have lessons with you?
Sure, in that case the prices of the ESF of your resort are applied. You have to take in account the time we need for transport to your resort in the lessons time. This is not the case if you reserve for a whole day lesson.

At what age can my child begin to ski / snowboard?
In general, kids have the physical capacities to start skiing (sliding – getting used to the snow) from the age of 3 – 4. For snowboarding kids can begin from the age of  6 – 7.

What’s easier: skiing or snowboarding ?
In general the first steps are easier in skiing due to the natural position on the skis and the lateral balance. We do see that for example skaters have an advantage starting snowboarding (same kind of position). We suggest that you begin skiing (until level 2 mininum) and afterwards switch to snowboarding.

Do we go off piste during the lessons?
Going off piste implies some precautions. First of all you should have a level 3 (ski / snowboard). Going off piste takes time (going further, savety measures, ...). When you reserve lessons you should specify you would like to go off piste so that we can prepare the session (weather and snowforecast, safety equipment, ...). If you don’t yet know how to handle a “ARVA” or other equipment, the lesson starts with an initiation.

Do I have to buy all safety equipment?
When you reserve lessons, we provide for free an ARVA per person. You should bring a backpack, shovel and probe.
